John Mabry III

Virginia based artist, John Mabry III, has a background in drawing and computer graphics. While sharpening his skills over the past several years, he has found newly success in making sculptures and oil paintings. John uses various techniques such as dabbing, wet on wet, underpainting, and blocking in on each painting. His progression has allowed him to combine elements of computer graphics to expand his range of talent even further.

John observes the world around him by listening and watching to then express his thoughts and feelings about the modern society; He plans to teach art within Prince William County, helping students to foster their love and passion for creativity. In 2024, John has been recognized in the first Katora Cafe Student Art Exhibition, as well as the Annual Student Art Show, both at the University of Mary Washington. He was a recipient of the 2024 Peters Valley School of Craft Scholarship. John also has a commissioned painting in the private art collection of Holiness Tabernacle in Woodbridge, Virginia.
