The Origin of Whisper

Bullied from childhood and orphaned in middle school, the boy knows only as the quiet one grew up in silence. His classmates mocked him, his teachers couldn’t get to him, and the world passed him by. After his parents died in a fire, he lived alone in their crumbling house, surviving on instinct and isolation.

He never spoke a word-not to bullies, not to the authorities, not even to the one girl who showed him kindness. But he remembered everything. And one day, he acted. A fire. A whisper of vengeance. Only one was spared, and then he vanished.

The Interview

Years after high school, The Whisper saw a flyer: Villain Corp is Hiring. Beneath the blood-stained flyer were the words: “Arsonist Specialist.” He knew a thing or two about fires. He recognized the figure on the paper, Jason. Intrigued, he dialed the number. Ghostface answered. What followed was a phone interview unlike any other-part interrogation, part initiation.

Seemingly getting zero answers, Ghostface tries to unravel Whisper to understand the mind behind the myth. But Whisper only spoke in fragments, cryptic phrases, and awkward unsettling pauses. By the end, Ghostface wasn’t sure if he had recruited a killer or new legend.

The Ride In

Invited to Villain Corp’s annual villain summit, The Whisper made his first public appearance. The room filled with icons like Freddy Krueger, Michael Myers, Ghostface, and more, letting their egos get out of hand. Whisper stepped up to the podium, and the entire room listened. Dressed in black, and talking with a southern drawl, he delivered a short speech that cut through their egos like a blade. He condemned their theatrics, their egos, their screams. “Fear,” he said, “It don’t scream, it don’t laugh. it don’t beg. It goes quiet.” He walks off the stage, leaving the room full of legends and newcomers in shock. Everyone now felt small compared to hiim.

REMEMBER !

Despite his rise in the villain community, Whisper never forgot where it all started for him. One night, he returned to the abandoned school. He went to the classroom- it still smelled of smoke. Eliza, the girl who showed him kindness, now a politician had returned to town. She had been campaigning to bring awareness on bringing justice to those who hurt the innocent. She had since turned her back on Whisper and was out to get him. Whisper didn’t need to kill her. He needed her to remember. A yearbook, a cassette tape, and voices from the past. He left another note for her carved into the only remaining desk- “REMEMBER !”
