#tdc4919 #ds106 Change Map Perspective.

For my daily creative activity, I reimagined the orientation of the world map. My goal was to play around with the perspectives as much as possible. Initially, I considered a politically charged approach, grouping more continents on one side to provoke thought about global power dynamics. However, as I continued experimenting, my focus evolved. I began dividing the map into three conceptual zones: landmasses, islands, and water. This new orientation aimed to evoke a sense of mystery, and emptiness- especially around the expansive ocean.

The Underground

For my daily creative activity, I used and online tool, Play Phrase, to generate dialogue between two characters as they uncover the hidden mystery of this class. I envisioned it as a scene from a Sci-Fi thriller or horror story- something that would feel right at home in “The Twilight Zone” series from the 1960’s. Each phrase in the dialogue is clickable, linking to a corresponding line from a film or television show to enhance the cinematic feel.

Selfie Unselfie

For today’s daily creative activity, the challenge was to represent myself in a photo without showing my face. I curated a collection of personal objects that each reflect a different part of who I am: A filmmaking camera, symbolizing my passion for storytelling and visual creativity, a painting of myself, partially visible, hinting at self-expression and the layers of identity chosen to be revealed, Billiards balls representing my love for hobbies and strategies, drumsticks speaking to my love and deep connection to music, an xbox reflecting my enjoyment and passion for gaming through digital worlds, and finally the Bible, grounding the composition, representing my faith and values that keep me centered and grounded throughout life. Together, these items form a visual narrative-one that captures my interests, personality, and beliefs without showing my entire being.
